I got to go to the infamous Colin street bakery with my friend. We visited Corsicana did a little tour and of course this was one of the stops. I got to taste a sample of their fruitcake, because they have them all around the store. And I'll say for fruitcake, it was pretty tasty but I chose to buy 2 cookies instead. I got a lemon cookie and a cranberry cookie. They were recommended by the staff and they did not steer me wrong. I meant to take a picture but after I took the first bite, it was over because they were both so tasty. They have so many different treats in the shop, from cookies to cakes to preserves and relishes, they even have a little cafeteria where you can order food. If and when I come back to Corsicana, I will definitely have to come back and try more of their treats. If you're in town, I would recommend you stop by as well.

**UPDATE** I received a phone call from one of the fourth generation owners today. He listened to the call and was so upset the way I was treated. He was so apologetic. Because of his call I know they care and I will continue doing business with Collin Street! They are good people! Thank you Thomas for reaching out, it really meant a lot to me! I had placed an order for Christmas Fruit cakes for the last 5 or so years and not had problems until last year and now this year also. I ordered 4 cakes on 11-26 with no delayed time frame. I wanted them to go now due to the issue I had last year. I noticed that they were stuck in limbo in Irving, TX on Dec 16th and called the company. They reordered the cakes and said that they would make it by Christmas. On Christmas Eve I called and spoke with a supervisor (I believe her name was Alicia) who argued with me showing that the original order was delivered. I asked for email proof. I never got and and verified with the people I was gifting these too for Christmas and they were not delivered. When I checked the original tracking numbers they came back as not valid. The supervisor not only lied to me but also told me because I choose standard shipping that they would not expedite the order. Standard shipping was to take 5-7 business days - They had 19 businesses days to get the Christmas presents delivered and they did not do it. The supervisor was very rude and unprofessional and since they cant deliver as they promise, this will the be the last time I order.

Very cute, I like the personal vibe of this location. Kind staff. Lunch was very good - the turkey cranberry sandwich and enchilada soup were tasty. Sat outside since the weather was being friendly.

Cute little establishment in town. The ambience is casual and the service was good. Tried a sample of the fruitcake and it was actually pretty tasty. The place has a nice little setup with a few tables and chairs but it's nothing like the one off of 45 South. Not a large variety as the 45 S location but ok. It is a little pricey. Bought a small 11 oz jar of cinnamon honey since I like trying local hand crafted items but it was $14.25 a jar. This is the only reason for 4 stars. If I did return it would be to the larger location.

The box said "bakery" and the label stated "deluxe petites." Oh cool! Petits fours! thought I. Nope, a search of Collin Street Bakery turned up shop that specializes in fruitcake. Funny, I had just read an article last week about a fruitcake recipe for those who don't like fruit cake. (https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/fruitcake-recipe-change-mind-fruitcake-131200368.html) Can't say I'm one of those, since I haven't had sufficient experience to lean strongly one way or the other. As described on their website: Made from our classic DeLuxe® Fruitcake recipe, our DeLuxe® Fruitcake Petites contain pecans, as well as handfuls of our hand-picked pineapple grown in Collin Street Bakery's very own Costa Rican farms. Folded together in our honey-sweetened batter, these bite-sized cakes are hand-shaped and perfectly baked before being draped in our specialty sweet glaze. With twelve Petites per package, these cakes are the perfect shareable snack -for friends, family, anyone! Here's a peek of what else is inside: Crunchy pecans Hand-picked pineapple Ripe cherries Golden raisins Lush papaya All-natural honey Sounds good to me! The balls packed inside were moist, fruity, and not too small - 3 bites perhaps? They were good! Tasty, and not overly sweet!
